[英文釋義] Protein molecules situated in the outer membrane of gram-negative bacteria that,in dimeric or trimeric form,constitute a water-filled transmembrane channel allowing passage of ions and other small molecules. Porins are also found in bacterial cell walls,and in plant,fungal,mammalian and other vertebrate cell and mitochondrial membranes.
